I've done those before and for the same type of reason but when the time came to repay I had to re-borrow and continue to re-borrow, and by the time I got it paid off I paid a lot of money in fees. If you have to do it, paying for a cab to one of your local loan places is a much better option because of the money you'll save. Online check loan places typically charge much more than your local office would and there are some companies that give you your first loan with no fee. So if it's really going to just be a one time thing finding one of those companies that offer your first loan free would be a great idea.
